Four families of objects
We make everyday tableware, ceremonial pieces, tea utensils and objects for interiors. Some are ongoing designs; others are turned once a year. This website has no online checkout. Please contact the workshop or ask about a stockist.
Everyday vessels
Soup bowls are at the centre of our work. The weight and rim are repeatedly tested by hand. Finishes include black, vermilion and translucent brown tame. Plain bowls start at JPY 22,000. A daily-use bowl may be ready for rim refinishing after roughly ten years.

For special occasions
We make three- and four-tier boxes, and round or square trays. A four-tier maki-e box takes about a year from drawing to completion and starts at JPY 280,000. Plain three-tier boxes start around JPY 120,000. Personalisation is available for weddings and anniversaries.

Tea utensils
Our collection includes natsume tea caddies, incense containers and cup stands. A plain black natsume starts around JPY 38,000; a maki-e version is around JPY 120,000. Finishes can be discussed for use with tea or coffee, rather than matcha.

For interiors
We make hotel-room trays, small entrance trays, document boxes and vases intended for use without water. Interior commissions can begin at the drawing stage with dimensions and quantities. Trays start at JPY 45,000; boxes are priced according to their size.
