Access
The workshop is approximately thirty minutes by car from Kaga Interchange, further up the valley from central Yamanaka Onsen. The nearest bus stop is about twenty minutes away on foot, uphill. Three parking spaces are available. Visits are by appointment because the building includes a residence.
Workshop visits
Open days are held in May and October, with up to four visitors a day. A ninety-minute visit covers the lathe, curing cabinet and decoration desks. The fee is JPY 3,000 including tea and sweets. Please request interpretation at least two weeks ahead. Visitors travelling from afar may discuss other dates.
