From application to working the fields
1. Apply
Apply for a job you like and message the farm company directly.
2. Interview
An online interview to get to know each other and confirm the conditions.
3. Residency status
Once hired, the farm company and a registered support organization handle the residency paperwork.
4. Travel
Once the paperwork is ready, you travel to Japan.
5. Working
You start working with the farm company, in the fields or with the livestock.
What You Can Do on AgriMatch
Read job listings in your own language. Filter by crop, region, dormitory, Japanese level, and residence status. Save jobs you like to your favorites. Apply and exchange messages directly with a farm company. The service is free.
What You Need to Work
To work in agriculture as a Specified Skilled Worker (i), you must pass the Agriculture Skill Assessment Test for category (i) and a Japanese test (JLPT N4 or higher, or JFT-Basic). People who have successfully completed Technical Intern Training (ii) are exempt from these tests. See the Program Guide for details.
From Applying to Starting Work
1. Create your profile with your nationality, languages, residence status, and experience. 2. Find a job and apply. 3. Receive a message from the farm company. 4. Have an online interview. 5. Receive a job offer. The farm company and a registered support organization will handle the residence status procedures.
